The Dodo

A caucus race is a random race where there pretty much aren't any rules. There is really no begining and there is no end. The tale is about a trial that already has a predeteremend outcome that is why he isn't gonna waste his time with a judge or jury. The mouse doesn't finish the story because alice wasn't paying attention and decided to be a smart allic. Because he is a mouse and the story is shaped like a mouse tail and he is telling a tale so it is a homonym. The dodo is the one that suggested the caucus race to dry off. Alice is concerned about her cat because she misses her and affread that she wont see her again. Alice doesn't drink the rest of the posion because she is already to large and didn't wanna grow anymore. The rabbit refers to Alice as Mary Ann because he thought she was his house maid. Bill is a lizard thing that crawled down the chimney to get Alice out of the house and Alice kicks him out and he lands on the ground and gets hurt. He is a friend of the White Rabbit. Alice's relationship with the characters at the end of chapter four was bad because they were chasing her after she left the house. we think that alice will smoke the hookah with the caterpillar.

Where is my cat?

The poem that explains the story should be named "The String of Discipline". Imperious Prima comes first, secunda comes second, and tertia comes third. Alice follows the rabbit into the hole because she is amused and is curious about how the rabbit can have and use a pocket watch. Alice is a 12 year old girl. She would drink from the bottle because she is falling into a deep hole, since the bottle says that it is not poison, she thinks that anything might help her. The poem from "The Pool of Tears", came from when she was trying to remember who she was. After the mouse swims past Alice in the pool of tears, she wants it to come back because she thinks that it might know where they are at. An eaglet is a young eagle and a lory is a colorful parrot. The White Rabbit will never talk to Alice. This is all a dream and the White Rabbit tricked Alice into following him.

Wheres my cat?

She ask wheres my cat then she named the poem the chain of commands cause it is talking about 1st, 2nd and 3rd in command. Shes fallow the rabbit cause she was curious and board. Alice is about ten years old. She drunk out of the bottle cause she was curious so she tried a little bit and she liked it and it tasted good so she drunk it all and it made her small and she went through the door. The poem that talks about the Nile river was from Egypt. Alice and the mouse are stuck in the poll of tears and she asked the mouse to come back cause she wanted out to, Lory is a parrot and the eaglet is a baby eagle. The rabbit will talk to Alice at some point, yes it is a dream and the rabbit is not trying to trick her it is just part of her dream.

Where's my girl cat???

We would title the poem "Dream Land", because its mysterious and foggy like a dream.

Next, Imperious Prima, Secunda, and Tertia means one, two, three, in a primative order. First being the begining of the story, second, the craziness of it all and third is questioning yourself about the story.

Alice follows the rabbit out of pure curiousity, she is a little girl who just went went her impulse. Plus who wouldn't follow a rabbit with a gold pocket watch?

Alice is a little girl, her age isnt specified, we would guess her to be around 11.

The bottle said drink me, and alice thought that it might help her with her sudden need to grow small to get through the tiny door. She assumed everything else that had been happening was so strange, that it didnt seem far fetched, that the mystery liquid could help her out.

"How doth the little crocodile" is a poem by Lewis Carrool, it describes a young crocodile luring fish into its smiling mouth.

Alice calls the mouse back to her so she isnt left alone with no one to talk to and uncertain of what to do next.

They are both types of birds, an eaglet is a eagle baby and a lory is a small colorful parrot.

Yes, we think Alice will eventually catch up with the rabbit, he seems to be everywhere she goes.

Yes, Alice is in a very bizzarre dreamland.

No, the rabbit is not trying to trick her, he is simply about his business, and Alice is freely following him.

where is my female cat

We would title the poem "Happy shiny crocodile".

Alice followed the rabbit because he pulled a pocket watch out of his pocket and she wanted to know what he was late for. Alice is old enough to want pictures in books and to fit down a rabbit hole. Alice drank the bottle because it said to drink it and it wasn't poisonist. The poem comes from her school lessons. she wants the mouse to come back because she was tired of swimming. An eaglet is a baby eagle and a lory is a fictional animal. Yes, it will because in the movie it does. Yes, this is all a dream. No, Alice is just a young retarded girl.

Ou ' est ma chatte!

Now that you have been through the Rabbit Hole and the Pool of Tears it is time to answer a couple of your questions. However, as you know, I will not answer them for you. You need to get into your groups and come up with your answers collaboratively.

One of you will type a response to the following questions and post it here on the blog.

  1. I want you to look up the translation to the title of this post and post the translation as the title to your group's post. Remember, online translators will only get you close to the actual translation. Use the context of the saying in the the story to help figure out the exact translation. Click here for a translator.
  2. What would you title the poem found on pages vii and viii?
  3. What does "Imperious Prima, Secunda, and Tertia" represent?
  4. Why does Alice follow the rabbit? This question was asked the most often.
  5. How old is Alice?
  6. Why would Alice drink from the bottle?
  7. Where does the poem come from in "Pool of Tears"?
  8. Why does Alice want the mouse to come back after it swims away?
  9. What is a lory and an eaglet?
  10. Will the White Rabbit ever talk to Alice?
  11. Is this all a dream?
  12. Is the White Rabbit tricking Alice into following her?
Post a picture from the web that goes with these two chapters.

You need to have your responses posted by the end of class today.
