Lewis Carroll and the hookah

Lewis Carroll wrote the story pretty much so that he could make money on stories that he just told to his friends children. Lewis Carroll was also famous for photography, his mostly used photography was naked young girls.Carroll was not just a creep that took naked pictures but back in the day he was known as a very good photographer. He was also known as an inventor, he invented postage stamp carrying case and an early form of the game scrabble. A hookah is a water pipe used for smoking. A hookah back in the 1800's was used mostly by high class and people that were considered to be very wise. Many things could be smoked out of a hookah such as tobacco and things such as opium, and other narcotics. Carroll would put a hookah in a children's story because back in the 1800's smoking out of one of them was an excepted practice and if you think about it, it would make him seem as a smart person. We think that its an appropriate story for a high school student to read because he doesn't really put anything in it that would make it bad. All he does is put something in it that would make the caterpillar seem smart such as it does.
